We are so excited going into our 9th year! We have no doubt this will be our best year yet and would love for you to be a part of it! Legacy Company/PrePro Auditions are June 6th and 7th.

SCHEDULE

Thursday, June 6th - TAP ONLY
If you are not interested in auditioning for tap, you do not need to attend on June 6th.

5:30-7:00 pm - Ages 7-12

7:00-8:30 pm - Ages 13+

Tap combos will be learned and evaluated at auditions. All other genres will be learned prior to auditions.

Friday, June 7th - ALL OTHER GENRES COMPANY AND PREPRO

Ages 7-12
9:00-11:00 am - Combos
11:00-1:00 pm - Technique

Parents will drop dancers off at 9:00 am and pickup at 1:00 pm.

Ages 13+
3:00-5:00 pm - Combos
5:00-7:00 pm - Technique

Parents will drop dancers off at 3:00 pm and pickup at 7:00 pm.

DRESS CODE
  • Black Fitted Dancewear
  • Hair Pulled Back
  • Shoes (appropriate shoe for genre audition: jazz shoe, ballet shoe, tap shoe, tennis shoe)

REQUIREMENTS
All dancers will need to bring the following (4) four items with them the day of auditions:
  1. Completed Legacy Company/PrePro Audition Form
  2. Dancer Headshot Photo (attached to audition form)
  3. Completed Legacy Company/PrePro Commitment Letter
  4. $50 check (audition fee)

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
  • Existing accounts must be current (have a zero balance) to be eligible to audition.
  • Technique Evaluations - Dancers should come prepared with an 8 count to show judges that includes leaps, jumps, tricks, or something they’ve learned this past year.
  • Genre Combo Evaluations - combos will be released on Monday, June 3rd. Dancers need to learn combos AT HOME and come prepared to be evaluated.
  • All dancers interested in PrePro must audition.
  • Dancers that are currently in the PrePro program are not guaranteed a spot in the program for the upcoming season.
  • PrePro spots are limited.

COMPANY REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 3 hours technique weekly (1 hour each: ballet, technique, PBT).
  • Compete in the 4 studio competitions selected by the Director (one of which will be a convention/competition). All dancers will be required to attend the convention.
  • All approved solos will be required to compete in a group dance of the same genre
  • Group dances will be 30min with a minimum of 2 group dances required. Exception: All tap group classes will be 1 hour (30 min group dance + 30 min tap technique).

PREPRO REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 6 hours in technique weekly (PBT, Ballet, Technique, Combos)
  • Compete in the 4 studio competitions selected by the Director (one of which will be a convention/competition). All dancers will be required to attend the convention.
  • Attend 2 additional conventions (your choice, must be pre-approved by PrePro Director)
  • Must compete a solo (any genre)
  • Solo must compete all competitions as Competitive Level
  • All approved solos will be required to compete in a group dance of the same genre

MINI COMPANY

Wednesday, June 19th - 6 and younger

5;30 pm Parent Meeting

6:00 pm Auditions

We will release all details, requirements, forms, etc. at the Parent Meeting.

Dancers should wear fitted dance attire, have hair pulled back, and bring dance shoes (ballet, tap, sneakers).
